FAQ
What is a rosary?
The Rosary is a set of beads arranged in a specific pattern to help the faithful pray and meditate on key events in the lives of Jesus and Mary.
How many beads are on a rosary, and what do they mean?
A full-length Rosary has fifty-nine beads: fifty-three Hail Mary beads arranged in five decades, plus six larger Our Father beads that separate each decade. Add the crucifix and centerpiece medal, and you have everything you need to pray a complete Rosary from start to finish.
Why pray the rosary?
The answer is simple: if you want to know Jesus, draw close to Mary. The Blessed Mother wants to help us know and love her Son as she does.

How do you pray the rosary?
To pray the Rosary, you use a specific set of traditional Catholic prayers, including the Our Father and Hail Mary, while meditating on one of four groups of Mysteries that follow Christ's life, death, and resurrection: the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous Mysteries.

What's the difference between a rosary and a chaplet?
A Rosary always follows the same pattern: five decades built around the Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious, and Luminous Mysteries. A chaplet is a shorter set of prayer beads, often just one to three decades, prayed for a specific devotion like a particular saint. Every rosary we make is a true five-decade Rosary, ready for the full devotion.
How do I choose the right rosary?
Start with how you'll use it. If you're building a daily prayer habit at home, a full-length rosary gives you the traditional five decades to hold in your hand. If you need something to carry to work or on the go, our pocket rosaries are built for exactly that. From there, choose a devotion that speaks to you, whether that's St. Michael, St. Joseph, or Our Lady, and let the crucifix and bead style reflect it.
Does a rosary need to be blessed before I use it?
You can pray with your rosary right away. A blessing isn't required to use it, but we recommend asking a priest or deacon to bless your rosary soon after it arrives. A blessing sets the rosary apart for sacred use and is a meaningful way to begin your prayer life with it.
How long will a wooden, paracord rosary last?
Built to last for generations. Our beads are hand-inspected before every rosary leaves our shop, and we string them on military-grade paracord strong enough to handle daily use in your pocket, car, or gym bag. Wood only grows more beautiful with time; it darkens and smooths with the oil from your hands, so the rosary you pray with today will carry the marks of years of prayer. Every rosary is backed by our lifetime guarantee.
