St. Michael Rosaries

St. Michael the Archangel leads God’s heavenly armies in the fight against evil. He is the patron saint of soldiers, police officers, doctors, paramedics, the sick, and all who work for safety and justice.

As a great defender of the Church, St. Michael intercedes for the faithful when threatened with evil or temptation. His feast day is celebrated on September 29th along with St. Gabriel and St. Raphael.

There are a number of different St. Michael prayers, but one of the most well-known is the Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel written by Pope Leo XIII. It is prayed like this:

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray,
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts,
by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits,
who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

The Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel isn’t a formal part of the rosary, but many people choose to include it at the end as a personal act of devotion.
