In proclaiming the year, Pope Leo noted that in an age marked by seemingly interminable wars and social divisions that create mistrust and fear, Francis continues to speak — not because he offers technical solutions, but because his life points to the authentic source of peace—Jesus Christ.

The rich Madre de Cacao wood beads reflect the humble brown of the traditional Franciscan habit, while the charcoal cord echoes the grey worn by the Franciscans of the Renewal — a community known for their fearless witness in some of America's most forgotten neighborhoods. At the center is a custom polished pewter St. Francis centerpiece, paired with a polished pewter San Damiano Crucifix — the very cross before which Francis heard Christ say, "Rebuild my Church."

Pick it up, pray the mysteries, and intercede for the peace that only Christ can give — just as Francis did 800 years ago.
