St. Dominic Rosary

Introducing the St. Dominic Rosary, the Official Rosary of the Godsplaining podcast.

Pure black and white—simple, bold, and unmistakably Dominican. The colors chosen for this rosary reflect the traditional habit of the friars of the Dominican Order: black cloak over a white tunic. It is a fitting tribute to St. Dominic, whose life was devoted to preaching the light of Christ to the world.

According to tradition, before Dominic was born, his mother, Blessed Jane of Aza, had a dream of a dog leaping from her womb, carrying a torch in its mouth and setting the world ablaze. This image became a powerful symbol of his mission. The Dominicans were playfully called Domini canes — "the Lord's dogs" — guardians and preachers of truth. Dominic became known as the "hound of heaven," running through the world with the fire of the Gospel.

This rosary captures that identity beautifully. The imbuia wood, black gloss Hail Mary beads, paired with White Moonstone Our Father beads, embody Dominican clarity and conviction. The centerpiece features a detailed image of St. Dominic on the front and, on the back, bears the official Godsplaining Podcast logo: the faithful dog carrying a torch — a symbol of boldly preaching the truth in every age.

Strong cord construction makes this rosary durable for daily prayer, whether at home or on the road. It is more than a devotional item; it is a reminder of your call to carry the light of Christ into the world.

Pray it boldly. Preach with your life.
