On a Good Friday late in the 7th century, Hubert went hunting in what is now Belgium. While out in the woods, he saw a vision of a stag with a crucifix between its antlers and heard a voice telling him to turn toward Christ. This experience changed the trajectory of Hubert's life, leading him to enter the priesthood and eventually become a bishop. Today, we know St. Hubert as the patron saint of hunters and archers. 
With its smooth natural beads and sturdy woodland paracord, this rosary was inspired by St. Hubert's encounter in the outdoors and his reliance on the strength of Christ. Crafted with our exclusive Pardon Crucifix and St. Michael Shield Centerpiece, it keeps you well-armed for spiritual battle no matter where the hunt for holiness takes you.

I have been a big fan of the Catholic Woodworker rosaries for quite some time now & am very blessed to have a few of their beautiful rosaries (I haven’t used any other rosaries except theirs) and so I knew what to expect from them regarding the craftsmanship and durability. As I originally purchased this Handmade Wooden Rosary - St. Hubert Design for its craftsmanship and durability, but I never expected it to deepen my faith the way it has. The moment I held it, I could tell it was something special—the smooth natural wood beads feel grounded and sturdy, the strong cord construction ensures it can withstand daily prayer, and the details in the Pardon Crucifix and St. Michael centerpiece add such rich spiritual meaning.

What truly surprised me was learning about St. Hubert himself—a saint I had never known before. His story is incredible: once a passionate hunter who sought worldly pursuits, he experienced a miraculous vision of a stag with a crucifix between its antlers. This encounter changed his life, and he abandoned everything to follow Christ, becoming not just a hunter of animals but a “hunter of souls”—leading others to God. His journey from earthly passions to spiritual devotion is one that resonates deeply with me, especially during Lent, when we are called to conversion and renewal.
