What a beautiful rosary. We originally bought the St. Michael for our son's confirmation and fell in love with it. I then bought another for myself. It's a perfect, all-purpose rosary: excellent for reflection time at Mass yet durable enough for a rosary walk in the woods or on a hike. Although the price is high for me and I really deliberated a long time, I'm so glad that I finally got it. It's worth the money. My rosaries come with me everywhere, and admittedly, they take a beating. You get what you pay for. I have no more patience for cheap rosaries that soon break at the links. The rosaries my family and I have bought from the Catholic Woodworker are bound by paracord or a similar tough material. They've all held up now for years with no visible impact to them, and I expect this new one to last just as long. I like how there's a little bit of space between the beads such that I can slip my finger in between to keep my place easier. These beads also feel like they've been waxed (don't know if that's true), because they're so smooth. I also have the St. Benedict rosary with a larger bead size and longer length. The St. Michael has a smaller bead size which makes it a perfect hand-held for Mass, while St. Benedict works well at my side on long walks. The crucifix on the St. Michael is stunning, and I've gotten many compliments on it. I was afraid, at first, that it might be a bit too long with a risk of it getting caught on something and being pulled off, but it's actually quite fine. I keep all my rosaries in the blue bag that accompanies them with the order and never have any problems. Thank you so much for these beautiful, durable products. I'm proud to own them.
