Q&A

What drew you to The Catholic Woodworker or this kind of work?

I love Our Lady and the rosary is one of my absolute favorite ways to pray. My consecration to Jesus through Mary has been a very large part of my spiritual life for the past 15 years.

How do you see your work connecting to our mission — “to lead Catholics to Jesus through Mary”?

I am a firm believer that one of the greatest ways we can grow closer to Jesus is by praying the rosary - both for our own personal relationship with Him and to intercede for others to know and love Him. There is something about praying with a beautiful rosary that makes you want to pray the rosary more! I am glad that we can help inspire that devotion in people by creating beautiful rosaries that get people excited about praying it!

Who is your favorite saint or spiritual inspiration, and why?

St. Catherine of Siena. I love that she was actually a lay woman, (she was a third order Dominican, but still a lay person) yet she was a powerful woman of the Church, a doctor of the Church, an incredible intercessor for Church leadership, and had amazing spiritual gifts that she used at the service of the Church. She is my Catholic version of "woman power"!
